FAQ
Choose which best describes you.
Breakawave is a partnership ecosystem that connects you with customers actively looking for the services you provide.
Once you're approved and set up, you start receiving qualified customer requests you can choose to take on.
Not automatically. Breakawave is demand-first, so we only bring on partners once we've identified a customer channel for your service through our clients.
Partners are added in proportion to the demand we've already found, never ahead of it.
If there's no channel for your service yet, you can join the waitlist and we'll be in touch when demand is there.
There's a one-time onboarding fee of $995 + GST to join, payable once your application is approved.
After that, you only pay when there's activity: a small connection credit when you accept a customer request, and a success fee when a service is completed.
It's performance-based, so you only pay when a customer completes a service with you, never if the work doesn't go ahead.
The fee is a percentage of the total project value, charged once per completed project rather than as a subscription, with GST applied.
Your rate is agreed when you join and varies by service, with flat rates available where they suit the work.
When a customer completes a service with you, you upload their invoice through your partner dashboard.
Breakawave then issues a separate invoice for your agreed success fee, based on the customer invoice amount. You have 14 days from the customer's invoice closure date to pay it.
For example, at an agreed 20% success fee:
Customer invoice: $1,000 + GST
Breakawave invoice: $200 + GST (20% of $1,000)
Connection Credits are a small fee for accepting a customer request, separate from the success fee.
Each credit is worth $10, and the number scales with the value of the request, usually between 0.20% and 1% of it. Smaller requests cost nothing to accept.
Credit structure:
$1–$999: 0 credits
$1,000–$2,000: 1 credit
$2,001–$5,000: 2 credits
$5,001–$10,000: 4 credits
$10,001+: 5 or more credits
No. You choose which requests to accept, and a connection credit only applies when you accept one.
You're never charged for requests you pass on.
Each request goes to no more than five partners, so you're competing in a focused field, not an open one. That keeps quality high for the customer too.
Because places are limited, accepting quickly matters.
From there, a competitive success fee or an optional Customer Benefit, like a small discount or bonus inclusion, makes customers more likely to choose you.
Yes. Requests come from real customers actively looking for the service, so you're responding to genuine demand rather than chasing cold leads.
